Job Purpose

Ensure optimal medical and scientific engagement for the Franchise across the cluster, externally - with the medical community - and internally. A strategic and operational role, acting as part of the franchise brand team supporting development of strategy and tactical planning, ensuring the brand team have a deep understanding of customer and patient needs, and providing senior oversight of external scientific engagement

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure support is given to the medical community and KKI organisation across the entire Cluster for a specific franchise
  • Creation and/or review of medical materials, e.g., literature reviews, medical letters, slide kits etc.
    Organisation and management of advisory boards
  • Dissemination of knowledge on optimal, evidence-based patient care, through one on one conversations, group discussions and/or presentations (internally and externally)
  • Providing medical input into brand strategy and tactical planning as appropriate and compliant, including liaising with the Medical Director and/or franchise counterparts in the other country(ies) within the cluster
  • Building and maintaining a professional network with relevant members of medical/scientific community, pharmaceutical organisations, patient associations, insurance companies and other applicable institutions
  • Provision of scientific support to speakers upon demand
  • Medical/Scientific training to local organisation
  • Medical/Scientific input in marketing plan and materials
  • Review of and input into Regulatory Affairs documents, such as SmPC updates, DHCP letters, letters to competent authorities
  • Execution of Risk Management Plan
  • Prompt answering of unsolicited medical information requests
  • Input into value dossiers and other market access related activities
  • Facilitation of publication of relevant local scientific and/or patient management data on KKI products
  • Pharmacovigilance: capturing, documenting and processing of Adverse Events on company products and ensuring dissemination of new safety information to all relevant stakeholders, in close collaboration and under the guidance of KKI PV department
  • Manage and facilitate Early Access to KKI products in unregistered countries, in strict compliance with local regulations as applicable
  • Liaise with local patient organisations to find out about patients’ needs and required patient support
  • Write and execute local medical plan, in alignment with KKI medical strategy and plan,
  • Manage Medical Budget for the Franchise

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Full scientific and medical knowledge of KKI’s products and their therapeutic area
  • Strong background and knowledge of dedicated therapeutic area
  • University degree in human medicine (MD) or strong life sciences academic background
  • Significant relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related fields
  • Experience with orphan drugs, early market access and launches of specialised drugs strongly preferred
  • Multi-country Medical Affairs experience preferred
  • Experience in people management
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
