Job Purpose:

Country-based role in charge of operational performance, working with a cross-functional cluster leadership team (composing of Medical, Sales, Marketing, Access etc) and reporting directly into the Cluster General Manager to develop and execute country plans. Accountable for business performance, overall revenue targets, and delivering ROI within the Rare Disease Business Unit (RDBU) portfolio, and leading a field based promotional team of Patient Journey Managers (PJMs)

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input into country cross-functional strategy, refines strategy through insight gathering, cross-functional collaboration, and iteration of tools and processes
  • Responsibility for contribution to Country P&L through delivery of cluster revenue targets
  • First line managerial activities, including managing a field-based team of PJMs, and providing continuous coaching, monitoring and prioritisation to enable achievement of KPIs
  • Operationalise and continuously iterate Regional Strategy and Cluster Patient and Customer Plans (PCP
  • Consolidate, prioritise and co-create initiatives with a network of peers and team members to address unmet need in disease management across the patient journey
  • Coach and review local account plans to support focus on customer and patient experience and maximising omni-channel engagement strategy
  • Build and maintain a highly proficient, scientifically literate, engaged, and enabled team, through performance management, continuous coaching and development by proposing training courses if needed

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Significant experience in pharmaceutical sales, Key Account Management, and management of commercial or medical teams, ideally in leadership roles
  • Excellent direct and indirect people management skills, with an ability to build and manage high performing, motivated team via performance management, coaching, and mentoring
  • Knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas (Haematology, Oncology or Rare Disease experience beneficial)
  • Digital experience/expertise (Cx/Px strategy, Omnichannel implementation and Virtual engagement, email, webinar, Zoom/Teams)
  • Ability to analyse and interpret sales data and guide business decision making based on insight
  • Excellent local language required; good English preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of local, regional, and national health systems and care delivery processes
  • ABPI or country scientific equivalent (or achieved within 2 years of commencing role)
