Job Purpose

The Manager, Global Medical Operations plays a lead role in driving global operational excellence for Medical Scientific communications and Governance. This includes managing specific global Medical Affairs processes and platforms (e.g. Global Medical Customer Management, Opinion Leader intelligence), implementing new Global Medical business and systems solutions and responsibility for technical operations across the department

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective day-to-day operations of existing system and processes
  • Support the development, implementation and embedding of future process and technologies in partnership with regional Medical, Commercial, ICT and compliance colleagues
  • Provide vendor oversight (contracts and finance management, business reviews, performance tracking)
  • Supporting internal and external audit and quality assurance related activities
  • Deliver initiatives to address gaps and drive continuous process improvements
  • Support the planning, coordination and implementation of Global Medical Affairs System (GMAS) releases and upgrades
  • Facilitating the assignment of GMAS training for new and existing users
  • Develop and maintain department technical infrastructure (SharePoint, box, MS Teams etc.) to enable effective Governance and operations of the group

Qualifications

Position Requirements

  • Science graduate or equivalent
  • Significant relevant industry experience in Medical Affairs at pharmaceutical companies or medical communication agencies
  • Project Management or similar qualification(s) would be highly desired
  • Highly developed computer skills, especially experience with VEEVA systems
  • Good understanding of pharmaceutical R&D and commercialisation processes
  • Knowledge and experience of Pharmaceutical Customer Relationship Management processes and technologies
  • Ability to manage projects to defined timelines and work well in cross-functional teams
